Adel Metni Foundation aims to build a new approach in volunteering

With More than 90 Local, Regional and International NGOs, and for the first time in collaboration with Saint Joseph University (USJ), the Center for Civic Engagement and Community Service at the American University of Beirut AUB, Started its 7th Annual NGO Fair.
In the purpose of learning about volunteering and its importance to the Lebanese Society on different levels, Adel Metni Foundation took part of the Fair sharing its mission in Road Safety & Driving Education.

Being Few Months old only, the Foundation proved how dedication and self-commitment among members can lead to outstanding achievements and positive impact. Mr Roy Metni, General Secretary of Adel Metni Foundation, mentioned during the fair at the Medical Campus of USJ, the importance of community based projects that tackle specific problems in road safety and can highly lead to intended results.

From the other side, Mr. Kassem Rammal, Coordinator of External Activities of the Foundation, emphasized on the need of civic engagement among universities in Lebanon, helping students understand the real meaning of leadership and citizenship.
Adding to the Necessity of creating a better Future for Lebanon and the Arab Region, Mr. Georges Metni, President of AMF, discussed how the vision of the foundation in road safety for the next 10 years is matching with the global goals for sustainable development spearheaded by the United Nations.

Adel Metni Foundation aims to build a new approach in volunteering, away from traditional awareness, and more targeted towards practical programs that engage youths in a professional way. "This is how we truly turn our citizens from careless people to believers in their country", Metni added.
